💕☯️ MEET TAIMA & MISSY ☯️💕
Our Foster Mum describes us as Ying and Yang best buddies. Although we came into care 2-3 weeks apart, we came from very similar places and bonded after both having three babies only four weeks apart. They have now all been adopted, and we have formed a beautiful friendship.
Nature
🐈 Taima - Foster Mum describes me as the Yang, being the more extroverted, chatty, slightly crazy, sweet girl who just loves attention and pats. I don't mind being picked up, held like a baby for a cuddle, I prefer lots of pats over being smothered in kisses, which Foster Mum completely ignores, so I indulge her for a minute.
I love to roll around showing off my beautiful belly and even enjoy having it tickled and rubbed. I'm still getting used to humans I don't know, but once I am comfortable, I will follow you around to have a chat or figure-eight around your legs.
🐈⬛ Missy - Foster Mum says I am the Ying, being more introverted, I can be shy with humans I’m not familiar with but very confident with all my cat friends. Once I am confident with my human/s I am a perfect mix of playful and calm. I love zoomies and toys one minute, then the next I like to laze, rest and enjoy long stroking pats along my whole body and smile if you tell me I'm beautiful.
I haven’t learnt the joys of laps yet, but I will curl up next to you on the couch/bed for a snooze. Foster Mum says I am also the best player of hide and seek she has ever met because I love hiding in the shadows when she is looking for me and because I only squeak and don't meow she has no idea where I am.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
We both grew up in houses with lots of other cats, so we do like the company of a furry friends but would also be happy if our new family just wanted us for themselves as we are experts in looking after each other. We may also be fine with a cat-savvy pooch given the right intros.
Taima has had issues getting along with the resident cats in the foster home but has had no issues with any of the multiple other foster cats/kittens that she has met in care, so slow introductions to any existing pets especially cats will be important.
We have both met younger and older children and think it would be better if we were in a home with children 8+ who will understand that we are a little shy at first and respect our space when we need.
Likes / Dislikes
We both love to eat, sleep, play and groom each other. We are not so bonded that we have to sleep together as Missy prefers to be on the human's bed, in a spot of her own and Taima in a nice comfy cat bed.
Currently we are eating Feline Extra gravy, must be the meaty one not the fishy one and have cat biscuits available 24/7 for if we get peckish. Taima is not so fussy with wet food, but Missy loves the gravy. Missy also loves boiled chicken breast cut into cubes for a treat, where Taima will be happy to have a creamy treat.
Neither of us are fans of strangers at first or sudden loud noises, Taima especially dislikes the vacuum, but Missy will supervise you vacuuming and may even get in your way while you do it.
Taima also dislikes if you put your face near hers unless you are holding her like a baby; she will let you kiss her fluffy cheeks.
Missy likes the floor more than being picked up, Foster Mum has been working on it by picking her up for a quick cuddle and some kisses each day. She is such a good girl and does not bite or claw you, just knows when she wants to go down.
Our PURR-fect home would be in a nice calm and laid-back home where Taima can get lots of attention and have lots of chats with her family. Where her singing will be enjoyed as well as some nice cuddles and lots of pats, and where Missy can be a little more independent, be close to her best friend but still come to her hooman family when she wants some pats and cuddles.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
If you would like to meet Taima and Missy they will be at our instore caboodle at Better Pets & Gardens Whitfords from Saturday onwards.
