About Sam
Its Finally Time for Sam to find his family – we know so many of you have been waiting for this one.
9-month-old – medium sized mixed breed – currently 14.5kg
Sam really wasn’t meant to be here for this day, and we so very nearly lost him but here we are with a happy and healthy puppy who sure knows how to leave paw prints on hearts.
This little man has well and truly left his past behind him and is doing so well – in fact his new found love of food means he now has his own slow feeder bowl – how good is that?
Sams love of life is just infectious, he is energetic, occasionally cheeky, and embraces every day with gusto.
However, like every puppy, once he is out of steam and not speeding around, he just loves to snuggle down in his cosy bed and recharge his batteries.
He loves Cuddle time and is an affectionate boy.
Sam is very expressive and loves a good old chinwag – some dogs are occasional talkers – Sam is a little Chatterbox – he will speak up when he has something to say and it’s just hilarious having a full on debate with a 9 month old puppy.
He also loves to know what is going on and is a lover of high places – watching from above is a fetish of his but he is learning “No” – good fences are important too as he does like a cheeky snoop over those given a chance.
Sam is still learning about the world around him and will bark at new noises around the house initially, but he very quickly adjusts to his new surroundings and soon only barks when he senses something unusual.
This boy is smart and a super quick learner - he's doing well with his basic obedience training and really loves to please.
Being a lover of all things food is a big help in the training department too.
He's still a bit wary of the lead, but with a little more time and patience, he'll be trotting alongside you in no time.
Still just a baby at about 9 months old, Sam still has his puppy antics intact as well as a bit of puppy fun and games to catch up on.
He is a bit of a shoe swiper so they need locking away but fill his cup with lots of squeaky toys or a chew treat and all will be good in the world.
Sam is super sociable, he loves people, cats and dogs and has shown not an ounce of aggression – everyone loves Sam.
Sam is crate friendly and is improving his house manners every day.
Seriously if you're looking for a lovable, spirited, and intelligent dog with a sparkle in his eye and a love of fine dining and the high life - Sam is the man.
Sam is booked for desex and is already vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with his flea and worm treatments.
He is located in foster care at Bridgman Downs and his adoption fee is $595.
If you would like to meet Sam, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the wonderful life you could share together.
Adoption details
At The Mini Rescue, we strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible. We understand that bringing a new pet into your home is a big decision that will enrich your life in countless ways. That’s why we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step guide to help you find your perfect match and provide a loving home for one of our precious animals. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, from your initial interest to the joyful day you bring your new friend home.
How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
