About Roofus
Roofus is a delightful three-year-old Tabby cat with a heart full of love and a penchant for cuddles. This furry feline has a charming personality that wins over everyone she meets. Her favorite pastime? Curling up on laps and purring herself to sleep, making her the ultimate cuddle buddy.
Despite her love for affection, Roofus is quite discerning when it comes to her companions. She adores children but prefers to meet them first, ensuring a harmonious relationship filled with playtime and snuggles. Her friendly nature extends to other feline friends, as she is cat-friendly and would thrive in a home with another cat companion. Roofus has experience living with a dog in her previous home and is open to sharing her space with a cat-savvy canine friend, provided they understand her boundaries and love for peace and quiet.
What sets Roofus apart is her super loving demeanor. She has a way of brightening up any room with her playful antics and gentle purrs. Whether she's chasing after toys or basking in the sunlight streaming through the window, Roofus is a content and happy kitty who brings joy to those around her.
If you're looking for a loving, cuddly companion who thrives in a family environment and enjoys the company of both humans and animals alike, Roofus is the purrfect match for your home!
To book a meet and greet with Roofus please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
