Is your home in need of a loving, placid, and friendly companion? Meet our beautiful Sharpei mix, Kida. Now 6 years, 9 months old and weighing approximately 20kg, Kida is a delightful bundle of joy who would love a chance to thrive in a loving home.
She has mastered the art of balancing indoor and outdoor life; although she is currently more comfortable outdoors, she is fully house-trained, and with a little refreshing, she would adapt well to living inside again. Despite some early-life trauma with other animals, Kida is surprisingly adaptable and has shown potential to develop positive relations with younger dogs, given the right introduction process. Kida is not currently suitable for homes with cats, livestock, or other animals.
Kida's amiable nature can be observed not only around adults but also around children. She has learned to approach children slowly, giving them their space yet engaging them with her playful and affectionate side. If she ever becomes stressed, she's wise enough to remove herself from the situation, but she generally seeks and revels in the affection of children.
When it comes to new people, Kida's excitement can sometimes get the best of her. However, she's responsive to gentle correction and quickly settles into being the perfect companion. She's more than just an adorable face - she's a loving, loyal friend waiting for the right family.
On the fitness side, Kida enjoys an off-leash run from time to time. But mostly, she is content laying about, relishing in cuddles and love. She's a dog who knows how to delight in the smaller joys of life and share those priceless moments with those around her.
The ideal home for Kida has a high fence (approximately 6ft) and a spacious backyard where she can stretch her legs or just laze about in the sunshine, absorbing the day in her gentle, placid way.
In Kida, you will not just find a pet; you will gain a loyal companion, full of love and affection. She's ready to shower her new family with love and cannot wait to meet you. Her gentle eyes and wagging tail say it all: she's ready to fall in love with her forever friend. If you can promise Kida a loving home, she will pledge you an unwavering friendship. Let's help this sweet girl find the love-filled life she deserves.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
