About King
Meet our littlest baby – King (Previously known as #330)
King is a friendly, happy, healthy, sweet, inquisitive little pup.
Initially he was very reserved but has now really started to open up and show his adorable personality
.
He’s About 4- 5 months old and possibly German Shepherd/ Kelpie cross
Such an easy boy to have around.
He is a quiet boy who rarely barks – if you are looking for a big scary guard dog – keep on looking, you won’t find that here!
King has a gentle, sweet and friendly temperament who just adores company and is always up for a cuddle.
He is currently living in foster care with cats and he gets along fine with them.
They tolerate him but remain aloof and totally unbothered by his presence.
King is still young and is learning his basic commands.
He handles short walks on the lead but is easily frightened by cars and other barking dogs so he will need lots of patience and reassurance from his owner.
He can be very reluctant to go out (the gate, getting into the car) but is very excited & happy when coming home.
King is probably not suited to great outdoor adventures at this stage.
He is toilet trained and is almost crate trained - just a couple of minutes cuddling to settle before going in at night but is then generally quiet.
He would be very happy to sleep where you are though – just saying 😊
King is vaccinated, microchipped and is up to date with his flea / worm treatments.
He in foster care at Holland Park
His adoption fee of $625 includes desexing at our partner vets when he is about 6 months old.
If you would like to meet King, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the wonderful life he could share with you.

At The Mini Rescue, we strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible. We understand that bringing a new pet into your home is a big decision that will enrich your life in countless ways. That’s why we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step guide to help you find your perfect match and provide a loving home for one of our precious animals. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, from your initial interest to the joyful day you bring your new friend home.
How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
