About Molly
Molly is a darling girl. She came into my care back in December 23 a very nervous and unsure little girl. Over the following months she learnt to trust me transitioning from hiding under the bed to sleeping on top with me.
She is still a little unsure especially when there is a lot of noise and other more active pups around that’s why now is the time for her to find her furever home, so she can move forward , trusting someone completely , and come out of her shell even more.
I can pick her up and cuddle her but have to make sure she has no escape in order to do so. She knows I won’t hurt her so I think it is more out of habit than anything else so with continued hugs and love I know she will settle.
Molly needs a quiet home preferably with another gentle dog of similar age for company. She needs a person/people who will continue to work with her as I have to gain her trust.
This means holding her, brushing her and praising her, not leaving her to her own devices because she seems to want to hide. I call it catch and release, I may have to corner her to pick her up as she won’t come of her own accord but she knows it’s for hugs and love.
After half an hour or so I move my hand, sometimes she stays a little longer sometimes she just goes back to the end of the bed, the important thing is she just walks back to her spot, and that says a lot. I see in her eyes she is longing to be special, she watches me intently when the other fosters are all over me for hugs and kisses. I know eventually she will respond , but this next step needs to happen in her forever home. So if you think you have the heart and right home for her I’d love to hear from you.
Molly had most of her teeth removed so she needs a healthy diet of soft food.
She is used to cats and children who visit are ok as long as they understand her needs but would not suit a home with very young children. Lyn 0439827195
