About Nerds - Meet me @ Petstock Brighton East!
Meet our darling Nerds!
A female cat with soulful eyes and a serene demeanour. This gentle sweetheart captures hearts with her shy and somewhat mysterious nature. As a fan of quiet moments of discovery, Ike possesses a curious streak that manifests in playful moments just waiting to be shared.
As Nerds is on her journey of gaining trust in human companions, she holds a special place in our heart. She flourishes when showered with a little extra love. With time, patience, gentle affection, and consistency, she'll surprise you with her progress.
Nerds bursts with a playful spirit, ready to chase a feather wand or bat a ball around. She thrives on subtle socialisation and enriching experiences. Her eyes light up when she spots a new toy, revealing a delightful curiosity that guarantees entertainment and gentle companionship.
To help her feel confident and safe, Nerds would benefit from another friendly feline. In fact, the presence of a cat companion may help her adjust more quickly as she mirrors their confidence and realizes you are a friend. She is currently in foster care with her family members Gobstopper, Toblerone, Milky Way or Ike.
If you are looking to add a soft purring companion to your lives – someone who might be quietly exploring or softly asleep in a sunbeam – then delightful Nerds might be the cat for you!
***Please note that Ike is an indoor only kitty, as she prefers the comfort and safety of an indoor-only lifestyle!
Nerds is currently at PETstock Brighton East in their adoption unit. Everyone is invited to head in store to meet Nerds during store operation hours.

Adoption details
Regardless of the breed of animal you are looking to adopt, our adoption process is the same.
The first step of the process involves submitting an adoption application form. The form helps us understand a little bit more about you and your household and is used to figure out whether animal is the right fit for your household and what you are looking for, and also if your household is the right fit for the animal.
After a review process, shortlisted applicants will be contacted by one of our volunteer adoption coordinators usually by phone call or message. This is an informal conversation to discuss any questions we may have about the application and re-confirm any information provided. It is usually at at this point that we will organise a Meet & Greet with you and the animal.
It is a Strong Heart’s adoption policy to arrange a Meet & Greet with the prospective family and the animal before finalising the adoption. The Meet & Greet will allow the opportunity to visit the animal and have a pat and a play with them. The foster carer will tell you a bit about the animal's personality and what they have been like for the time they’ve been in their care. It is a great opportunity to ask the carer about the animals food, sleeping and any other health requirements.
If the Meet & Greet goes well on the day, in most cases you will be able to take the animal home straight away after payment of the adoption fee. All necessary paperwork including vet work history and transfer of ownership information will be sent via email within a few days unless otherwise specified.
