About Lachy
Prepare to be enchanted by Lachy, a delightful companion whose heart warms up to his people in the most endearing ways. This remarkably intelligent pooch isn't just cute; he's a trainable marvel who thrives when treated as a cherished member of the family.
Lachy's day commences with a graceful prance that's a spectacle to behold. Upon greeting his loved ones with a toy in tow, he eagerly embraces outdoor adventures, whether it's chewing on sticks, frolicking in grassy patches, or simply luxuriating under the sun. And when it's time to unwind, there's nothing he loves more than cozy naps on plush rugs. [Check out the videos of Lachy below.]
His affection knows no bounds and he's adept at expressing it in a variety of ways, from presenting his favourite toys to indulging in cuddle sessions with his favourite people. Lachy is all about consent and can at times be a little sensitive to touch, so he appreciates gentle interactions and thrives in an environment where his boundaries are respected.
As much as he adores playtime, Lachy is also a discerning foodie. His inquisitive nature might lead him to explore kitchen cabinets in search of treats (or forbidden snacks!), but his eagerness to work for his food makes him a joy to train.
For Lachy, an ideal home is one that provides a serene environment with access to a garden. Adults who understand his need for consent and appreciate his intelligence would be the perfect match for him. Despite his small size, it's essential to treat Lachy like a big boy, ensuring that he has plenty of rewards-based training to help Lachy be his best self and develop a strong relationship with his people.
Enquirers will have the opportunity to learn more about Lachy's wonderful personality, needs, and quirks during a call with our Program Behaviour Specialist.
Lachy's adoption fee includes a valuable post-adoption consultation with a dedicated trainer. This consultation will provide you with expert guidance to help Lachy transition into his new home, ensuring a happy and harmonious life together.
To qualify for adoption, potential adopters must reside within a 6-hour driving distance from Armidale. This requirement is due to Lachy's tendency to experience car sickness, necessitating the use of anti-nausea medication during the journey.
Medical notes
Lachy has been diagnosed with a mild luxating patella; it may cause him some discomfort intermittently but typically resolves spontaneously without intervention. A full patient history can be provided to Lachy's new home upon request by their veterinarian.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Following adoption - change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on listing) will be provided.
