About Button
Hi! My name is Button and, as the saying goes, I’m cute as! I’m also happy as Larry, sharp as a tack and fit as a fiddle. I LOVE jogging and all kinds of exercise in general. You wouldn’t believe I’m nine years old and partially blind - I have restricted vision in my left eye, but it doesn't hold me back.
I also enjoy training, especially when treats are involved. I recently completed a professional training course and now know how to sit and walk well on lead, but I could do with a little extra help to learn how to stay calm when passing other dogs when I’m on the lead. But generally, I’m very social with other dogs and friendly with people too, including little ones.
My ideal forever home would have a big garden to run around in, and a human who will take me out as their walking or running buddy every day. If you need a personal coach to keep you motivated, I’m your man! Give my people a call, I’d love to catch up.
----------------------------------------------
Button is a happy friendly boy with adults and kids. He is social with other dogs off lead. It is hard to believe he is 8yo as he is quite active and enjoys jogging. He is very friendly with people and gets excited to see them. He is very treat motivated and a quick learner. He knows sit. He is best suited to a family where he is not walked on lead past lots of dogs. He has a short coat and weighs 8.6kg. His left eye has probably no vision but is not painful,
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Apartment Friendly: Could cope in an apartment environment. Regular walks or use of an artificial grass patch is suggested.
Good with Kids: Shown to be good with kids in the controlled environment of the Shelter.
Medical notes
His left eye has probably no vision but is not painful.
He comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our doggies, is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet”
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
