About Jarrah
Jarrah is a sweet boy who just craves love and is happy spending time with humans and it doesn’t matter what your doing. Jarrah is the dog who is most different onsite to offsite. Offsite he walks calmly on a lead, he wags his tail at all dogs and people, he is happy and sweet. He doesn’t get stressed with people or other dogs and is generally a happy obedient and sweet dog. Jarrah loves cuddles he loves snuggling and is also happy to sit quietly by your feet. He is sweet obedient calm and quiet.
Jarrah is very happy in the car, he gets in and out calmly and sits quietly and calmy in the back seat. Jarrah loves human contact and would prefer to sit by your side rather than almost anything else. Jarrah is a friendly boisterous dog. Jarrah loves have people around and does not want to be left alone for long periods. At the shelter he pulls on the lead, he barks and lunges at some dogs and is generally stressed. He likes to jog and run and enjoys pats and belly rubs. He sits on command. Walkers say: “3rd time walking Jarrah. Much more affectionate, leaning into me and crawling to me when we stop and sat. Very comfortable rolling over for belly rubs. Didn’t bark at other dogs when walking. “, “Lunged at other dogs but not aggressively. Nice to walk if you like huge energy!”, “Loves to chill in the shade and have pats and belly rubs. ” He has a smooth coat and weighs 25.8kg.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Suit Part Time Worker: Copes alone for short periods, with training possibly longer but presently does need someone home part of the time.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky in their lives.
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience and an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
